　　　今天计划游约克镇。
　　
　　早上吃完早饭，就感觉腰酸，牵扯着微疼，尿意里有一丝尿路感染的不舒服。
　　
　　还是坚持去坐了游船，喂了鸭子和小转了一圈。
　　
　　到午饭时，不爽的感觉严重，有些担心，又怕吓着秀才和儿子，便镇定地说：“为防止像上次肾结石发作那样疼得满地打滚，我还是去一趟医院。”
　　
　　今年六月，我无痛尿血好一段时间，去医院查，医生都担心是膀胱癌。谁知最后查出一颗隐蔽的小结石。
　　
　　人的身体构造很精妙，多一分或少一分都让你非常不舒服。一颗与绿豆差不多大的石头，能让你疼得满地打滚。
　　
　　我在来英国前，7月7号那天，石头突然改变了一下位置，痛得我脸色惨白，人像从水里捞出一样出汗，且浑身发冷，大夏天需要盖被子。医院给我打了杜冷丁，让我昏睡一整天（我怀疑是昏迷），我才扛过去。
　　
　　出发前医生就有些担心我的结石在旅行途中再发作。给我开了排石药和止疼药。
　　
　　来英国十多天安然无恙。
　　
　　结果今天发作。
　　
　　其实我也不确定究竟是结石，还是尿路感染。无论哪种情况，都需要去医院就医。
　　
　　我们在饭店问了服务生最近医院的地址和电话，速速驱车前往。

　　急诊室里满是病患！！！！
　　
　　今天是周日，只有急诊室开门。我进去登记姓名的时候有些绝望——我没想到英国的医院在周末如此繁忙。好多人看起来病得很平静，却也在急诊室等候，像我这样疼得歪七扭八站不直的人与他们一起等候非常吃亏。
　　
　　问REGISTRATION（登记处）大约多久医生才会招呼我？
　　
　　答曰：几个小时吧！
　　
　　我会疼死吧？
　　
　　我坐在椅子上，不能保持优雅。疼痛让我时而站时而跪时而跳，折腾出一身热汗。
　　
　　这次的状况已经比上次好。上次是直接在中国医院地上打滚被轮椅抬到注射室打针。肾结石疼痛指数在所有疼痛里是最高的，与生产小孩的指数一样。
　　
　　出乎意料，不超过15分钟，医生就从一扇门里出来喊我的名字。我等候的时间明显短于其他人。我怀疑登记处会把每个病人的紧急情况分类，对于特种疾病会优先通报。
　　
　　医生一边给我量血压，一边问我病情。女医生年轻得看起来像在读大学，她很快就理解我在说什么，先给我拿来几片强效止疼药让我服下，告诉我大医生过会儿会来给我检查。又把我送到我进来时的等候区。

　　药还没起作用，我已经疼得站不住了。几乎周围所有病人都用同情目光看着我。度分钟如年。
　　
　　又没两分钟，医生不知从何渠道知道我扛不住了，从闭锁的门里出来主动搀扶我，告诉我进诊疗间躺着等大医生来看我比较好。
　　
　　英国的急诊诊疗间条件远高于中国三甲医院。干净，安静，有序，空间大。每个隔间里有一张可移动病床和三把椅子。家属可坐等，病人躺着。床上还有毯子。
　　
　　中国的急诊室是我看到的最糟糕的急诊室。感觉在打仗，兵荒马乱。过道里塞满加床，一堆插着氧气管吊着水的人躺在公共区域被展览，人满为患而且无序。每个人都在问这问那，每扇门前都挤着一堆人。医生护士忙碌到连抬眼看你的时间都没有。
　　
　　英国的急诊室看起来就不那么紧张。医生护士来还能跟你寒暄几句，安慰一下，摸摸你的头，拉拉你的手。虽然貌似这些行为对治病都没啥帮助，却有极大的心理安慰。中国缺乏的是这种人文关怀，医生太忙。如果比较一下，上海有3000万人口，而约克只有18万人。从数字上看，的确差距很大。
　　
　　来了个护士给我验血。她看我的手臂有些踌躇。我的血管很细很难找，以国外的医疗水平被戳三五针是正常的事。而在中国，护士只要瞄一眼，一针见血。我猜想以中国人的火爆脾气，戳两针不出血，病人就要上拳头了。在这种压力下，护士水平见拳头蹭蹭长。
　　
　　护士的确在血管里来回倒腾了几次才见到血流出来。但已经比我想象得水平高。
　　
　　药效开始发挥作用。疼痛不明显了。但人想睡觉。我怀疑全球的止疼药都是以冬眠的方法让人昏睡止疼。
　　
　　过了一个小时来了一位特别帅的男医生。特别帅。
　　
　　全球的医生都帅。好像从事这一行面相很重要。来个丑八怪大约会加重病情，而帅哥可以让疼痛指数减少几格。医生普遍比演员长得好。
　　
　　医生一边跟我聊病情，一边搓手。搓热了才跟我说：“我要按压一下你的腹部，确定是哪里疼。”
　　
　　他在我腹部按了一周，然后说：“我是急诊医生，我对肾结石了解不多，我需要咨询一下专科医生。而且你的血和尿检验结果尚未出来。你略等。”
　　
　　又过了一个小时，帅哥回来，跟我说，检验结果出来了，一切指标正常，排除尿路感染，应该是石头作怪，大医生说你除了多喝水，吃止疼药没别的法子。你可以回家了，我会让你带药走。
　　
　　我放心了。收拾好东西带着药准备回家。
　　
　　临走时问：“我如何付费？”
　　
　　他们看着我，说：“我们这里没有收费系统，不收费的。”
　　
　　我答：“我有国际医疗保险，你要知道我的保单号吗？医院可向我的保险公司索赔。”
　　
　　医生们商量了一下，同意。
　　
　　他们拿着我的保单和护照，去复印了一下，输入索赔系统，然后跟我说再见。
　　
　　亲身体验英国公立医疗，并不像传说中那么糟糕。英国人对本国公费诟病众多，很多人因手术等待时间太长而不得不自费去私立医院。我做好了疼到晕厥的准备却受到适宜的照顾，既不过度也不拖延。与中国相比，环境和医生分给病人的时间都略胜一筹。
