In his State of the Union address on Jan. 25, 2011, President Barack Obama advocated investments in both physical and human capital. But he said the nation’s rates of educational achievement were falling short. 5$Q}Zxh

"Over the next 10 years, nearly half of all new jobs will require education that goes beyond a high school degree," Obama said. "And yet, as many as a quarter of our students aren’t even finishing high school." @X$~{Vp__

We looked at this question last year, when Education Secretary Arne Duncan offered a similar statistic on the Aug 29, 2010, edition of ABC's This Week with Christiane Amanpour during a discussion of education policy. xI'sprNa_1

"In this country, we have a 25 percent dropout rate," he said. "That's 1.2 million students leaving our schools for the streets every single year. That is economically unsustainable, and that is morally unacceptable."

爱的教育好不好，我必须说，你应该先问，那个家庭，有没有钱。  如果那个美帝家庭有钱，不用怀疑， 爱的教育完胜。   如果那个美帝家庭钱不是太多的话，  那么，他们的孩子可能就是连高中都读不完的其中之一。

不是开玩笑，爱的教育有很多很多好处， 比中式教育好太多了。  因为我知道一些人，什么都做得不错，好吧，我认识他们然后他们不认识我。   我想这种学生，中式教育不是那么容易出来的，可是美帝可能就有点一抓一大把了。   但是这些人，好吧我直接说了， 这些都是我以前高中的风云人物们，前提是，他们家境看起来都不算太坏。   有几个，家里的父母还是那个社区知名人物。   l`M7a9*U

所以我很久以前就有这种感觉，你想玩爱的教育，可以，但是请家里有钱。   N Dg*8i

唉，想起我高中生涯就不舒服，丑小鸭中的丑小鸭，食物链下面的最低下

有色上的是私校么？你能和那些风云人物同校，说明你家境也不差阿。

很普通的公立而已，我以前为学费还打过黑工了，呃，说太多了。   其实我亲戚算负责了， 那所学校还是算可以的。    那些惹人注意的地方就是一群鸡里面很鹤立， 光是开的车子就看的出来比别的学生好。  但重点是他们组织能力很好， 口才很便给， 运动好， 然后学习成绩都非常不错，  里面有一，二个特别优秀的听说就拿了藤的奖学金。    在我看来，他们绝对是学业与潇洒兼顾。  不像我们这些学习成绩中间的，只能够靠苦读才能去大学。     z ~R:!O-

但问题是， 我知道很多人，学业成绩很差，还很有一些人连高中都没毕业。  美国私立高中如何，我不知道。 可是我可以很负责的说，美国公立高中学生没毕业老师不会觉得有什么的，实在是太平常不过的事情了。   连我只呆过这么短时间的， 也不觉得高中没毕业是件多大不了或者值得羞愧的事。

我知道美国高中drop out很夸张，但是真的没想到居然这么夸张。  回想我亲戚说那所高中没那么差，是真的没骗我。   0DIXd*oj&
