It should be OK with international driver license. But strongly recommend NOT to unless you have taken the license exam. The reason is the difference of driving habit. @f'

In China, driver normally will yield to the "front" car. For example, turning out the main road without care, the main road cars may yield to you because you already occupy some space. But not the case in US or outside China. the drivers of main road will have the "right of road" and he/she may not expect you sudden appearance. One of my friend in GZ told me he has a co-worker rent a car in Australia. She got hit by a truck because of that and got paralyzed... /K&
