院里的草坪
在雨中疯长
没几日抽穗了
风中的草坪
自在逍遥
割草人来了
把草坪的头通通割掉
没有人觉得
割掉的是天性
割掉的是自由
路过的人
交口称赞
割得好
割后的草坪漂亮
如同赞美贞节烈女
对爱情的坚贞
被割的草坪
就是躺着的贞节牌坊

In the yard the lawn
In the rain grows apace
And ears in a few days
In the breeze
It's quite at ease
Then comes the mowing chap
Who all grass heads does snap
Observes no one
That cut is nature true
And liberty too
Those passing by
All praise to the sky
A job well done
And how great it looks all around
Like lauding a chaste woman
True to her late loved one
The mowed lawn
Is a chastity memorial on the ground
