250g butter
1 teaspoon vanilla essence
1/3 cup castor sugar
2 cups plain flour
3/4 cup cornflour
3/4 cup (140g) Choc Bits
Beat butter, essence and sugar in small bowl with electric mixer until light and fluffy; transfer to large bowl.
Stir in sifted flours and Choc Bits.
Turn dough onto lightly floured surface, knead lightly until smooth; cover, refrigerate for 30 min.
Roll dough between sheets of greaseproof paper until 7mm thick, make any shape you like, place about 3cm apart onto greased oven trays.
Bake in moderately hot oven for about 10 min or until lightly browned.
Stand for 3 min before lifting onto wire racks to cool.
