life sucks!!!

although the new year did not start with a bang, but today I thought was going to be a good day... my portfolio was up almost $30K on the day, definitely one of the best days so far. and then came a call from one of my best friends, by the time the call is finished, the market has tanked, and my day's gain has been reduced to less than $10K...and I am upset as hell. 39oI &D>8

he had a highschool sweetheart, the relationship broke when he came to the states. it was thier first love, and I guess both he and the girl cannot get over it, so a number of years later they hooked up again. On the surface it seems like a happy marriage. He works real hard, makes good money (more than enough to support a family), enjoys life (he's the only chinese friend I have that has a season pass for concerts in SF and enjoys naps there). she stayed home for a few years and recently started working out of boredom, but with little money. a lot has happened with thier marriage, but which marriage is a smooth saling? I just can't believe this is yet another marriage to be disolved. now my friend is worried about his marriage and his money. I can't devulge in details so I am sorry to disappoint if you are looking for a story.

actually, I think the issue might be the difficulty in handling changes. a woman goes to work and start to make some money, or gets a promotion, or with some coworker's seduction, and the balance in family is broke. all the sudden the outside life seems more tempting...
