难怪中国官媒要迁怒于骆家辉。他只是一个美国的普通官员，却扰乱了中国官场的一池春水。他的政治秀在官员眼里，不过是他未来的政治筹码，就好像美国其他政客一样，但在中国老百姓眼里，他代表着群众对廉政的呼唤，对官员被广泛监督的憧憬……
美国大使骆家辉背着双肩包，喝着可乐，携妻带子地轻飘飘来到中国，未曾想引起轩然大波。
首先，作为一个国家部级官员，他竟然坐经济舱参加中国的一系列活动；其次，在北京参观民工子弟小学之际，他带家属探望民工子弟学校的孩子们，并送去图书；他在四川公干的时候，竟然去街边摊吃价值几十块的家常菜；他所到之处，既不坐防弹车，也没有警车开道。他一系列与中国官员大相径庭的作派，既引起媒体的追捧，也引起高层的警觉，为此，《环球时报》和《光明日报》都纷纷发表谴责性文章，反对他的“美国价值观输入”和“新殖民主义”。
我们在中国，的确以新奇的眼光关注骆大使的一举一动。在世博会召开前，上海市区被尘土飞扬的建筑卡车占领；世博会期间，我们的日常生活常被封锁的道路来访的使节或高官打乱，以至于市民的呼声是“快来吧！世博会！快走吧！世博会！”上海人民对比北京人民，表示很满足。因为北京是每年几次代表大会，道路封堵是常事，代表们在北京街头呼啸而过，坐着大巴一路通畅，却在会议上提出解决交通拥堵的议案。
报纸上每天的头版，总是领导视察这里，领导考察那里，如果遇上天气不好，领导背后总有撑伞的秘书，领导的标准姿势是双手向前对着等候多时的彩排群众喊：“我们来晚了！”然后紧紧抓住热泪盈眶的农民大爷的手。而后不久，就会被媒体曝光某地红十字会一顿餐费上万，某官员被捉贪污过亿，情妇无数。
某友挂职下乡，不多时即碰到首长检查三农的施行情况。早在领导下乡前三个月，朋友即接到通知，要妥善安置好上访群众，即选取有代表性的商户。县领导班子为此做了大量工作，包括把刺儿头给劝遣离乡，把思想好表现好的村支书家安排在被访农户位置上，反复演练彩排领导有可能提到的问题，做到对答如流。
而领导到达的当天，朋友吃惊地发现，整条街道上的老百姓，没一个是自己认识的！除了那个早就安排好的村支书家。首长所到之处总是被掌声和欢迎包围，都是安排好的便衣群众演员，作为县领导的朋友竟然无法近身，首长的考察就这样体面地圆满结束。
这是中国特色的亲民，中国特色的与民同乐。朋友与我聊天的时候说，他坚信领导是不知情的，以为所到之处一片祥和。另一个政府官员朋友曾笑曰：“《新闻联播》和《人民日报》所表现的中国，和微博上所表现的中国，好像不是一个国家。”

中国今年前八个月财政收入增长30%，而同比GDP增长约7.1%，国民生产总值低于国库充盈，而且连年如此，这是很可怕的现象，也是值得警惕的。这么多的税收，取之于民，但用到哪里去了？我不知领导人心里是喜是忧，作为一个旁观的生活者，面对日益高涨的物价和不断缩水的钱包，我是不无紧张的。
