今天中午回家，无意中发现茶几上放了一张菲留的字条，长长如信。因为都是大写字母写的，让我读起来颇费力。我的英文阅读能力仅限于印刷体。因为来往信件都是EMAIL，阅读文章都在书上 ，对手写体很不习惯。读完以后忍不住摇头，又大笑，再叹息。
她的大意是:我很抱歉不能完成我所有的工作，尤其是COOKING。我知道我犯了很多的错，请您原谅我。每当我做错事情的时候，我是如此害怕，但您总是非常和蔼并安慰我，让我不要担心 。我爱宝宝，就象爱我自己的弟弟一样，先生，太太，每当我犯错的时候，我真想大哭一场，但你们都不说我，让我觉得很恐慌。请，请您务必在我犯错的时候批评我 ，这样我就不害怕了。
我看完后真的很诧异，想劳工周围人的很多建议，看样子的确有道理。
新加坡本地人对菲律宾保姆的评价大多是懒，馋，坏，难管，因此对待佣人要象地主对奴隶那样严酷无情。只有这样，她们才会怕你，服你，对你恭敬，不敢做坏事。
而我对菲佣的看法，竟如此大相径庭。我认为这些菲佣，勤劳，善良，温顺，有担当，让我自愧弗如。很多时候，我把菲佣当成专业人才。这绝对不是我故做姿态，假装慈善，而是我的确不擅长理家 ，在家务方面，我的智商等同于小孩。
昨天劳工还说，等孩子大了，家里就不会那么挤了。我说，你什么意思?他说，孩子大了，就不会乱丢东西了，他会自己收拾，到时候我们就不需要保姆了。
我的眼泪在心里默默地流。我多么害怕陈偶得宝宝长大啊!我今天的福气和快乐，原来都是他的到来带给我的。我真的不想在他上学以后，我要自己干家务。那样我会早亡的。日子灰暗 。而且，即使宝宝长大了，他不乱丢了，难道我就会改好，也不乱丢吗?那天婆婆还指我儿子说:"从小训练你，东西放回原处，家里有一个妈妈就够了，再来一个，奶奶就累死了 。"
偶皮厚，装听不见。
菲的到来，让我彻底解脱。我对她没任何不满意，确切地说，百分百满意，我从不指挥她干任何事情，她爱怎么安排活儿我不管。她哪怕一年不擦窗户，那没她以前，我曾经有过五年不擦的记录 。 我不会挑剔她的。她干啥我都满意。甚至很多时候，我会主动讨好她，比方说，让她先于我之前吃饭，或主动替她把饭盛好端到她面前伺候她吃了。这是我对她的一种感激，我觉得，与她从早上六点开始干活 ，到晚上11点都手脚不停相比，我的这点劳动，简直不算什么。
她刚来我家，就是她的生日。我不知道该送她什么礼物，而以她家的实际情况，我认为给钱最合适。我给她十快的零花钱，她激动地要拥抱我，把我弄得特不好意思。事实上，十块于我是NOTHING，但对她就很重要。
她来以后，打破了一个锅盖子，好象还有一些小事。我不太记得了。每次她都跟犯了多大错误似的站在我面前道歉，我完全不以为意。我是觉得，换我干，不见得比她强，搞不好错更多 。而干多错多，这话是绝对正确的。如果连自己都不能避免的错误，为什么要责怪别人?
她试用期的半年里没一天休假，我告诉她，在过完年后，我给她一天假，让她去见亲戚。她又热泪盈眶，真吓得我不轻。
那天她带宝宝下去玩，劳工过会下去看，发现她在跟其他佣人聊天，回来跟我投诉，让我教训教训她。我翻了个白眼问:"你上班还看网页呢!你上班还给我打电话呢!你上班同事还聊天呢!你老板不亏大了?"
劳工说:"她聊得兴起，不看儿子，跌交怎么办?"
我答:"哪个孩子不跌交?只要不是大毛病，碰点皮不必计较。你自己看的时候，儿子不还摔后脑勺了吗?我说你什么了?"
劳工说，象我们家这样对待保姆的真不多。她可以看电视，可以想吃啥吃啥。(那天带保姆出去，保姆说她想吃咖喱菜，我抱着儿子带她兜一大圈帮她找。劳工说，哪有这样的，该给她点啥她吃啥 。我说人家难得出来吃个饭，你干吗非虐待人家吃不爱吃的?)我们从不要她照顾，没让她泡过一杯茶，有啥事情都自己干了，这样的好日子她上哪找?
我也寻思对她不赖啊!
哪晓得今天来这一出。
看样子，太和善的雇主，叫佣人无所适从。也许她们习惯了看人脸色，见我整天笑呵呵的，以为我笑面虎，哪天怕我把她给辞退了。
