电影配乐大师亨利•曼契尼作品两首

　　　亨利•曼契尼（HENRY MANCINI）可以说是美国最杰出的电影音乐创作者，他为电影‘Breakfast at Tiffany’s－第凡内早餐’，‘Days of Wine and Roses－相见时难别亦难’，‘Pink Panther－粉红豹’等所创作的乐曲都曾大放光彩。曼契尼1924年4月16日出生于俄亥俄的克利夫兰，成长于宾夕法尼亚的Aliquippa钢铁城，8岁开始学习音乐。曼契尼自1952至1958年专为环球电影公司创作乐曲；曾为150部电影配乐，他总共获得过二十次格莱梅奖，这比其他任何流行界的艺人都多（古典艺人George Solti曾获二十三次）。

　　这首《‘罗米欧与茱莉叶’情歌主题》（LOVE THEME FROM‘ROMEO AND JULIET’ ）的原创者是尼诺•罗塔Nino Rota，是1968年的由17岁的Leonard Whiting和16岁的Olivia Hussey主演、Franco Zaffirelli执导的电影《罗米欧与茱莉叶》中的配乐。曼契尼很喜欢这部电影和影片中的音乐，他说：“看完电影离场时，那些音乐一直环绕在我心中，同时为这么好的音乐，居然没出唱片而感到不可思议。”可后来曼契尼发现，其实有人曾经录制过这个主题，但却无声无息了；于是他决定自己重新编曲，再录一次，并建议RCA唱片公司以单曲形式发行，使得该曲大获成功，
　　
　　后来，Kusik和Snyder为《‘罗米欧与茱莉叶’情歌主题》填了词，曲名更改为《A Time For Us》。
