Disturbed the great waters

Calmed, tamed
Like a beast returning
To its source
The valley
A womb
Beginning of all
Beginnings

Every slope, plateau, stardust
In your universe
Each blade in your
Tropical grassland
Reminds the pain
Of a helpless lover
Each drop
Of your sweet dew
Each kiss from the tongue
Of fire soothes
The wound
Of a trapped heart

The empty room
Between the lines in my poem
Still echoes your
Siren’s song
Calling up waves
After waves of oceanic
Creatures, thunders &
The sinking Ulysses
The gazing Muse

Heart in exile
I followed your song
Night’s whispering
Day’s honey
