put the balls in 3 group, each has 4, put group A and group B on the balance,
if they are not balance, that means the balls in group C are same weight.
Let assume group A is heavier, that means either one of the A group is heavier or one in group B is lighter. Also, C balls are same weight.
Now put one A and 3 C's one side of the balance and put 2A and 2 B on the other side.
If it balance, that means one of the rest 3 balls has diff. weight(it is easy to find out on the next try).
If it is not, and assume the side has ACCC is heavier, that tells us either the A in ACCC is heavier or the 2 B in AABB is lighter, on the next try, so just put the 2 B's on the balance, if it balance, that mean the A is heavier, if not, the lighter one has the different weight.
Now, go back to the beginning on the first try, if 4 A and 4 B balance, that means one of the C balls has diff. weight, .....
It is eary to find that out yourself.
