this is a very down-to-the-earth point of view. as a man, I can't understand why a mid 20's woman will not pick a slightly older man like in the mid 30's. it just seems to be the best approach to minimize the risk and reap good reward. \w{x-}

on the risk part, a man at mid 30's is getting close to his potential, and you can see what kind of person he is, know what he's capable of. you don't have to analyze anymore, it's just there for you to inspect.

on the reward side. if this man is marginally successfull, you should not need to worry about the money anymore. plus, an older man is likely to take good care of you. even sex should be better because he's more experienced. ,KF>PoySA

I guess one issue could be due to the social convention. women are used to marry men with only a couple of years difference in ages. the tradition has merit when the life expectancy is 40-50 in the old days, but in today's environment with life expectancy of 80+, I don't think it makes sense anymore. 0n+Wv@/

another reason could be that as a society, it is more just or more beneficial in the long run for humanity to encourage marriage between people of similar age. after all, if the best women all marry older richer men, over generations it might be not do good for human genes.
