keeping a cat is very east, you don't need to bath them, they will keep themself clean. Also, you don't need to worry too much about their 大小便, all you need is go to the pet shop buy a litter box and put something like sand in there (I forget what it calls, it is specially for cat's 大小便) Remember to buy a litter box with a cover and a swing door so that the cat can go in and out by itself. You need to clean it once every 2 days and replace all the "sand" weekly or bi-weekly.
We usually buy canned cat food and mix a little bit dry cat food and feed the cat once a day. During the day, we put a lot of dry food on it plate so that it will not hungry.
The only thing may bother you is you have to cut their nail once every few weeks. Otherwise, it will put scratches everywhere.
Cat are very sweet, my younger one takes the cat everywhere, especially when she need to go to the bath room to 大小便, she keep the cat in there as a company.
