another dark tradition of chinese culture. I am so amazed that Singapore is still hanging on to this cruelty while its main land counterpart has abolished it long time ago. in fact, this is nothing compared to some of the old tricks that chinese invented long time ago. each time when I read chinese history, the cruelty of chinese people never fail to shock me to numbness.
