 (本报讯)南加州北大校友会9日邀请中国大陆知名小说「蜗居」和小说改成的同名连续剧作家六六谈「理想、现实与成功的人生」。同时北大常务副校长林建华报告北大这些年来发展状况。

当天许多人特别来看「蜗居」作者六六。六六非常幽默， 并是位自信的女性。她认为中国过去经历了很多创伤，都还能在伤疤中成长，这股无形的生命力是奥妙的，这也成了她创作的原动力，这本书中描述的是她30多年的经历。《蜗居》围绕主人公海萍与丈夫苏淳，以及妹妹海藻与两个男人之间的情感纠葛展开，小说涉及房贷、婚外情、三角恋等话题，讲述了生活在重压之下的都市白领的生存境遇。小说于2008年出版以来，受到读者广泛关注，在中国大陆是最受讨论的连续剧。

剧中人物宋思明象徵腐败，也是观众好奇的角色。有人问六六宋思明是否有「原型」? 六六笑说，出书之后很多人问他书中宋思明是否描写特殊对象? 也有人问是否影射中箭落马的陈良宇等一些官员? 她笑说大家如果细看，会发现此书完成的时间是在陈出事之前，因此间接否定了这个说法。也有人好奇如此畅销小说会出续集吗? 六六的看法是，过去的经验告诉她凡是出到第二或第三集的书「最后都倒了」，因此她认为应该在顶峰时收住。她最欣赏的中国作家是韩寒，美国作家是马克吐温。

有人问六六担不担心中国政府的审查制度会让较俱争议性的小说像「蜗居」过不了关? 六六认为作家的心需和「人」紧密相连，才能写出让大众喜爱的作品，她从不考虑政府如何审查她的作品。她认为作品的成功是因为敏锐的观察力，捕捉每个人的个性。

此次校友会另一目地是欢迎北大常务副校长林建华。校友会另安排了民族舞蹈、魔术、单口相声、儿童乐队演奏和模仿秀等。
